About
The Full Story
Welcome to my vibrant culinary world! I am a proud female chef who was born and raised in Mexico, and my journey has taken many fascinating turns. Initially, I pursued a degree in architecture, which laid a solid foundation for my creative thinking and ability to visualize unique culinary presentations. However my passion for cooking eventually led me to culinary school, where I discovered my true calling. In addition to my culinary pursuits, I had the incredible experience of playing for the women's Mexico soccer team, which instilled in me the values of teamwork, dedication, and discipline. Now, as an executive chef and professor at the Culinary Institute of America, I find immense joy in teaching others and helping them realize their potential. I believe that this role is a two-way street, where I also learn from my students as they inspire me with their perspectives. Over the years, I have been honored to receive multiple awards for being the best chef in San Antonio by San Antonio Magazine and SA Current, recognitions that I hold dear. My background in architecture has greatly contributed to my culinary creativity, allowing me to cater to a diverse range of clients with unique tastes and preferences. Above all I strive to embody the values of humility and kindness in everything I do, making a positive impact in the culinary community and beyond.
